I drew this at Wild Wings Cafe while sitting across from Quinton shortly before going to the arcade and having an awesome night! This is the name sake of my blog and personal comic Squid vs Rocket. It is the single greatest idea to have ever been generated my my frontal lobes and then interpreted onto paper. I was personally satisfied with this one for many reasons. One however is how I finally understood how to make smoke from a rocket look awesome. I've never been very good with shading in smoke and now I understand it a little better. Oh, how I love Squid vs. Rocket. There isn't a better idea that exists.
Okay well, maybe Batman.

Pretty sweet idea indeed. Sort of reminds me how, in Japan, there are some people who have their hands tied behind their back and a squid put on their head. Then they have to kill the squid before it kills them. Another variation is essentially the same except the squid is smaller and it starts in your mouth.
